Alchemy and Chemistry
Initially they were the ancient Egyptian populations and Arabs to lay the foundations of alchemical thought. A set of various disciplines such as physics, astrology, chemistry and medicine. Many consider it to be the foundation of modern chemistry. Alchemy is an esoteric science whose first objective is to convert one substance into another, what is negative for man into what is positive. The ancients applied to this discipline the creation of perfumes and alchemical thought which had the aim of obtaining their "quintessence" from flowers and plants through distillation, the essential oils. Spirituality and love for perfumes proceed in parallel with knowledge. Ancient medicine made use of spices, flowers and plants, which nature gave us to cure diseases of the body and soul. Doctors and shamans were the same thing and over time they transformed into pharmacists. For example, the essence of Oud, a very aromatic resin produced spontaneously in the heart of the Aquilari trees, defined as "black gold" due to its rarity and staggering cost, known in perfumery as Agarwood, was one of the most sought after and coveted substances by master perfumers. Defined as the perfume of the Gods, its resin was burned together with incense in religious ceremonies as a very strong aphrodisiac with the power to connect man to God, helping to realize the desires of love.
