CHRYSOLITH

The stone you have chosen is Chrysolite also known as "olivine" or peridot. Without a doubt, this  stone can be attributed to one of the oldest minerals known to mankind. The uniqueness of such a stone lies in the fact that it can be found not only on Earth, but also on the Moon and on some meteorites. This is a gem with a long history, whose roots date back to the 3rd century BC. It was from that moment that the first mention of the "golden stone" began.  Some ancient historians claimed that the source from which olivine was extracted was the island of Topazios. According to various legends, the Egyptian pharaohs ordered the inhabitants of the island to extract and give them many stones, which were then carved and given to the royal advisors with the aim of freeing them from jealousy and temptations. In the Old Testament it is often called "topaz". In the Middle Ages it was used as a protective stone and lucky charm against evil spirits, to develop wisdom and promote the spirit of friendship. Chrysolite or olivine or peridot has a detoxifying and revitalizing action, especially on the skin. It acts positively on the adrenal glands, liver, pancreas and spleen. It stimulates the functionality of the kidneys and heart, promotes blood circulation, helps tissue regeneration and purifies energy. Olivine has a calming power on the nervous system and reduces stress. It protects the stomach and allows better absorption of food as it acts on the third chakra, which corresponds to the will but also to food and spiritual nourishment. It is also useful for alleviating psychosomatic disorders that originate from strong anxious and emotional states. Olivine is a stone that honors several female deities, such as Lakshmi, the Hindu Goddess of abundance. But also Pax, Roman Goddess of peace and prosperity, Pele, Hawaiian Goddess of fire and Persephone, Greek Goddess of spring. In the 8th century an archbishop of Mainz said that it was one of the twelve apocalyptic stones. The magician Agrippa instead declared that this stone was capable of healing asthma and respiratory system problems, in fact its powder was sold in pharmacies for this purpose, but also to cure madness. Our ancestors believed that olivine came from the explosion of a sun which then brought it to the earth, giving people this stone with healing power. Attacks of nightmares or insomnia, various neuralgia, cardiovascular disorders - all this is a list of diseases in which one way or another it is recommended to use chrysolite. Lithotherapists claim that with the help of this mineral you can even get rid of diseases associated with the eyes and even significantly improve your vision. It is used by some healers to relieve kidney and stomach pain. In addition, many cases of the treatment of stuttering with such an amazing mineral have been described in the literature. The main influence of chrysolite is assigned to the solar plexus chakra.
